Soup Kitchen Volunteers
Volunteering in the dining hall at the St. Vincent de Paul shelter is a great way to interact with your fellow classmates and have a positive impact on the Baton Rouge community. The soup kitchen services a large number of people and the personnel appreciate all the help they can get serving meals to visitors. The work day runs from 11:30am to 1pm, with time for the volunteers to share a meal together after their shift. It's a perfect study break and a wonderfully rewarding experience.
